The Melodicci sound started with a piano.
At five years old, Melodicci’s parents bought him one and arranged weekly lessons. Several years of classical training followed.
That foundation shaped more than his understanding of music theory. It taught him how music is built, but also how a simple instrument can create atmosphere, tension, and emotion. Piano remains at the center of the Melodicci productions today.
The next layer came between 2007 and 2014.
Early melodic EDM became a major influence, alongside the hip-hop, rock, and pop music that filled the first iPod playlists. Avicii, Swedish House Mafia, Alesso, Tiësto, Eminem, Jay-Z, Kanye West, Kid Cudi, Muse, AC/DC, U2, and The Black Eyed Peas were all part of the soundtrack.
The genres were different. The common thread? Melody.
Then the music got bigger.
During university in the second half of the 2010s, film scores became a daily part of the listening routine. Music from Steve Jablonsky, Hans Zimmer, Ramin Djawadi, Ludwig Göransson, and Two Steps From Hell filled thousands of hours of study.
That music introduced another dimension: scale.
The Melodicci sound brings these influences together.
Classical piano provides the foundation. Electronic music provides the rhythm and movement. Film scores provide the atmosphere and emotional weight.
